Holiday Tip For Utilizing Local Schools For CNA Recruitment

Dec 6, 2017 9:46:21 AM

We talked in our previous post Tips For Using Local Schools To Boost CNA Recruitment on how to utilize local schools to help you recruit CNAs. Now that the holidays are upon us and there are 56% less job seekers on the market, there’s no better time to add a new weapon to the Caregiver recruitment arsenal! Offer to throw a holiday party for the students of a local CNA school.

Providing senior care and the holiday season have a lot in common. Core fundamentals of both are kindness and compassion. What better way to extend those values to potential hires than a party celebrating cheer and merriment? It could prove the winning difference in hitting your CNA recruitment goals. Get to know the students, talk about why your agency is a great place to work, and offer them a guaranteed interview upon graduation. And if they’re looking for companion work in the meantime, let them know you’re always hiring Caregivers too!

While it’s important to always be connected with local schools to have success in home care recruiting, use the holidays as a way to grow your presence with at a school, or perhaps approach a new one! You can invite current staff members to join both as a benefit to them and a great way to connect with potential CNA hires. When the going gets tough towards the end of the year, creative new strategies can help you make the hires you need to keep growing your business.
